Tray forming on the move – Boix goes mobile!
From farm to… trailer? A truly unique installation in Türkiye!
At Boix, we’re always exploring new ways to make packaging more flexible, efficient, and accessible. And sometimes, that means thinking outside the box, or in this case, outside the factory.
We’re excited to share one of our most unique projects to date: the installation of a Boix FP-4/2M tray forming machine inside a fully mobile trailer! This special setup was developed in collaboration with ANKUTSAN, a leading cardboard supplier in Türkiye.
A mobile packaging unit on wheels
Instead of installing the machine in a traditional factory environment, this FP-4/2M machine is now placed in a trailer that will travel from grower to grower, forming cardboard trays directly on location.
This concept is ideal for:
- Farmers and companies with smaller production volumes
- Businesses with seasonal packaging needs
- Operations that lack permanent production space
- Anyone looking for maximum flexibility
Tailor-made for mobile use
To make this possible, the FP-4/2M was customised by the needs of ANKUTSAN, allowing for greater versatility in tray formats, even in a compact mobile setting. The machine remains fully automatic and delivers the same high-speed, consistent results you expect from any Boix solution.
Not our first time around the block
Interestingly, Boix completed a similar mobile project years ago. And now, with rising demand for agile packaging solutions, we’re proud to bring this concept back, smarter and more adaptable than ever. This project demonstrates that Boix machines are mobile-ready, opening up new possibilities for packaging on the move.
