The main change lies in principal cambio radica en nuestro sistema de montaje, hasta ahora la máquina era una estación fija en donde los componentes, piezas y operarios se acercaban para su montaje.
At Boix we have opted for a radical change, we have developed assembly and production lines for the Quality range, where the machine is placed on a platform and moves along the entire line, in each of the stations that we have defined, the different components and parts are assembled and connected. What advantages does this new assembly system offer?
- It allows us to optimise the assembly of each machine, as well as to adjust delivery times.
- Improve the quality controls of each machine, since being independent and autonomous assembly stations allows us to have a more strict control of our quality control protocols, which in the long run translates into better machines for our customers.
The change in the way the machines are assembled also forces us to make important changes in other areas of the company.
From the logistical/warehouse point of view, we have had to create the necessary infrastructures and procedures to be able to supply the components and parts for the different stations in time and form for the optimum operation of the line, for which the following improvements have been incorporated:
Racks for chassis
It allows us to store different chassis models, access them efficiently and act as a buffer to avoid unnecessary downtime.
Production line supply
Improves the supply of the line by not depending on suppliers.
Tooling and trolley design for each station
We have designed each trolley to optimise and facilitate the task of operators and technicians.
